About Me
My name is Vera Lucia Emerim. I have been an artist all my life. I have been oil painting for the last twenty years. My main subjects are mermaids, faeries, elves, witches, Siamese cats, goddesses and male nudes. I also paint portraits on commission, landscapes, seascapes, still life and flowers.
I love decoupage and lately I developed a passion for altered art, altered books and ACEOs.
I live in Ararangua, a lovely small town near the sea in the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. I have been married to the same man for the last 31 years. We have one grown daughter and live in a house my husband and I built with much love. This space is shared with three spoiled cats Camille and Gabrielle and my boy Titi. Camille and Titi are Siamese and they are the models for my many cat paintings. My home is my art gallery. It is completely decorated with many of my artworks.
